Houdini Sportswear is a swedish brand with focus on high end functional clothing. Houdini is foremost known for the now iconoclassic hoodie Power Houdini. The last years the focus has been on layers and fleece jackets.
This year Houdini has some jackets as well. All models are environmentally friendly and only uses syntethic insulation. The Switch jacket is no exception. The jacket is a bit heavier than the ordinary down jacket. But with the eco pet insulation the jacket is more resistant to harsh weather. Unlike down this insulation actually still works even when wet.
The Switch jacket is warm enough to be worn alone. When used under a shell jacket you can withstand almost any weather. Used alone I think the jacket is just a bit too short in lenth. But as a everyday jacket it´s still good.
The jacket is really good with long arms and a roomy still straight fit. Two pockets with extended 2-way zips for ventilation. Also you get your ordinary music pocket placed on the chest. The jacket comes with a stowbag and is completely recyclable. A good buy.

Some good news for all snowboard lovers in Sweden. Kink favourite distributors Stuntwood (Airblaster, Ashbury Eyewear, Signal Snowboards, Bond Outerwear) and Permafrost (Flux, Smokin Snowboards) are joining forces and are taking over the distribution of Rome Snowboards in Sweden.
Rome Snowboards are great and from what we´ve heard they also produce good bindings and money worth clothing. The model we are most interested in is the newly improved Notch 1985. The Notch used to be a solid powder board with great set back. Apparently this years model is even better with new rocker style. Hopefully we´ll be able to try one some day.
So if you are interested in Rome or have any questions about the models for next season just contact the new distributors!

Flux used to be one of the most hated on companies. You know that sort of hate you only find on internet forums. There has been rumours and talk about Flux not being legit because it´s japanese and is owned by a company that makes spare parts for cars. But still – the followers have stayed with the bindings. And last year it seems as if Flux finally made the big break trough. With a brand new team the future looks bright!
Transworld Business has a short interview with Flux Bindings. Flux is still sort of a underdog. But with a great team they are slowly starting to make a bigger name. Personally I prefer Flux. And yoy should give them a chance as well.
