Here´s something extremly useful. We all know how hard it´s to pick the right lens for your goggles. And you tend to end up with 3 or 4 different pair of goggles in the backpack. Now Anon gives us a hint of how the lens actually work.
Use this lens visualizer to determine which lens you should go for. Extremly helpful when buying your snowbaord goggles on ebay as well…
Anne-Flore Marxer has signed with watch company Swatch. Terje Haakonsen did the same last year, so Iguess you can keep yout cred and still go with the swiss makers of watches.
The serie of models that bares Anne-Flore Marxers name is designed in a back to the eighties style. I guess they are sort of clean. They come with the snowpass technology. So with a snowboard friendly watch from Swatch you can use the watch as a skipass. Not on all resorts thou. So it´s really more of a gimmick.
Supra Footwear continues to build the bad boys image. Now theýe signed Matt Mumford who used to ride for Globe Shoes. Remember the old video Opinion from Globe? Mumfords part was one of the best. As always outdone by Rodney Mullen (but again who isn´t?).
Supra put together a short clip of footages from over the years. Mumford used to be one of the hardest guys when it came to rails. So this could be interesting to see what he´s up to.
We´ve been over this a couple of times before. But we´re still dreaming about the Pinner from Smokin Snowboards. The tapered shape, the pinned tail. It looks really great.
Check out the new web site for 10/11 from Smokin Snowboards. There are some great boards. They are quite hard to get hold on in Europe. Although they do deserve a bigger hype.
For 10/11 Smokin are using Magne Traction on all the boards. And so far they have been the only indie brand to have a license on those curved edges. The good guys even take som time to explain the big advantages of Magne Traction.
It´s still a bit hard to put the judgment on Nike 6.0. The shoes are huge in the US, but at the same time they are considered something of the Nike SBs for the kids (or the poor man) in Europe.
Either way you go, Nike 6.0 do release some good models. Maybe not so many thou. But again – they have some sick teams, especially the snowboard team.
The Brazen is a good model. Not as vivid in colours and design as some other models. A bit more subtil and maybe more fit for older shredders.
Our favourite Basque brand Loreak Mendian just released the range for the autumn/winter. And as usual it looks really good. Check out the site for a preview as well as a good web shop.
