I really like the graphics on this years pro model snowboards for Danny Kass. The serie is called “Fill out the blank” and is painted by Pinski, by “Fill out the blanks” they want you to fill out the empty speech bubbles. As usual Gnu boards are handbuilt by Mervin in the states. One nice detail is that the same length boards is available in three different waist measurements, nice for bigfoots.
While filming Utah Johnson were injured during a rail session. Several riders jumped off a small kicker in a rapid fire session, Johnson jumped first and somehow got hit by Kye Peterson who jumped after him. Johnson wore a helmet but got hit below it. This was a serious accident and Johnson fell into a coma. He has woken from the coma and can communicate with squincing his eyes. He can move his right side but not his left.

Tristan and Nic Puehse are two ordinary kids except that they’ve been skateboarding for two years, won a bunch of competions, are sponsored by almost as many company as their combined age. Nice people, deep snow and good food. Niseko is made up of three resorts: Grand Hirafu, Higashiyama, Niseko Annupuri. The resort is located on Hokkaido about 3 hours drive from Sapporo or Chitose Airport and has a more relaxed attitude to out-of-bounds riding. The lifts are open from 8:30 am to 8:30pm. This year Nisenko had a recorddump and by 12th december they already had 2 metres of fresh snow. Niseko is considered as one of the top 5 resorts in Japan and is known for easy access fantastic powder.
