Sage Cattabriga Alosa is a skier who goes really steep and deep, he travels all around the world to film segments for a numerous production companies such as Teton Gravity Research. On the website “3 sick minutes” you can find video footage of Sage. He skies some insane lines.
After winning the gold in the olympics, Shaun “The flying tomato” is now on the cover of Sports Illustrated as the first snowboarder ever. Inside is an article about Shaun White and Hannah Teter’s way to the gold medals at the winter olympic.

The swedish skateboard company Riverfarm Family have released the 2006 decks. I’m not a skateboarder but they sure look pretty.

US and Canadian skier in the olympics are wearing smart armour. Instead of wearing bulky arm and leg guards they now wear a lightweight bendable material know as d30. Skiwear company Spyder have incorporated the material into racing suits which the US and Canadian alpine ski teams are wearing.
Under normal conditions the molecules in the armour are weakly bound making them flexible. The shock of sudden deformation causes the molecules to lock making the material hard and protecting.
