Nike’s second go at the skate community, Nike SB (or is it the third?) has so far given us some over hyped shoes as well as taken Paul Rodriquez away from the Girl family. Anyway, Jeff Staple shows us some of the first pictures of the spring/summer 07 range. What it looks like? No one really knows – the hype is blurred.

Last week the classic extreme contest, “Scandinavian Big Mountain Championship” in Riksgränsen, Sweden, were held. It was the 15th annual contest and 120 participants from 12 countries threw themselves down the mountain. Check out the fifteen minute long movie clip with all the action from the contest over at freeride.se.

Already a classic, Reef fanning came a couple of years ago with the integrated “Soda”-bottle opener. REEF also have a leather version of the Fanning. The “Fanning” is the surfer Mick Fannings signature model.

This is a pretty funny clip from CBC archives from 1985. The news story is about the banning of snowboards on popular ski hills and some people give their view of the problem.
Check out this video over at ridertech.com. It’s not big cliff drops or vertical descents, is just nice smooth powder skiing. Looks really nice.
